Social Mirrors is a series about our contemporary communication in the public space. Almost everyone uses every possible moment that he can find to use his smartphone to get in to contact with other people when he’s in transit. The series is a search to the answer to the question why people have the urge to use their smartphone when they are in transit.
In this series I photograph the people that are in contact with their fellow people via the smartphone. I observe the people that I encounter on the go and I capture this moment. Due to the diversity of the images it becomes clear that we’re always looking for contact, both in groups as alone, both while waiting as in movement.
